ความเห็นของคณะกรรมการนโยบายการเงิน (กนง.) คงอัตราดอกเบี้ยนโยบาย เพื่อสนับสนุนการฟื้นตัวของเศรษฐกิจและรักษา policy space ที่มีจำกัดเพื่อใช้ในจังหวะที่เหมาะสมและมีประสิทธิผลสูงสุด

ส่วนความต่อเนื่องของมาตรการภาครัฐและการประสานนโยบายระหว่างหน่วยงานมีความสำคัญต่อการฟื้นตัวของเศรษฐกิจในระยะถัดไป โดย กนง. ยังคงให้น้ำหนักกับการสนับสนุนการฟื้นตัวของเศรษฐกิจเป็นสำคัญ รวมถึงติดตามความเพียงพอของมาตรการภาครัฐและปัจจัยเสี่ยงต่าง ๆ โดยพร้อมใช้เครื่องมือนโยบายการเงินที่เหมาะสมเพิ่มเติมหากจำเป็น

The Committee voted unanimously to maintain the policy rate at 0.50 percent to support economic recovery. The global economic recovery was better than expected in the third quarter of 2020 but uncertainties pertaining to the new waves of COVID 19 infections remained. However, the Committee assessed that the less strict containment measures would adversely affect the global economy less severely than before. Meanwhile, governments in various countries worldwide continued to conduct fiscal and monetary policies to support economic recoveries.
