บริษัท แอดวานซ์ ไวร์เลส เน็ตเวิร์ค จำกัด หรือ เอดับบลิวเอ็น ใน เครือเอไอเอส ประกาศเริ่มเปิดให้บริการ 4G อย่างเป็นทางการ ภายใต้ชื่อ AIS 4G ADVANCED ที่เริ่มนำเทคโนโลยี LTE ADVANCED มาประยุกต์ใช้เป็นรายแรกของประเทศไทย ด้วยพื้นที่ให้บริการครอบคลุมแล้วกว่า 42 จังหวัด ในทุกภาคทั่วประเทศ หลังได้รับใบอนุญาตเมื่อเดือนพฤศจิกายน 2558 และเริ่มให้ทดลองใช้งานได้ตั้งแต่ต้นเดือนธันวาคม 2558 นับเป็นการเปิดให้บริการ 4G ที่ใช้เวลาน้อยที่สุด โดยตั้งเป้ามีพื้นที่ครอบคลุม ใช้งานได้ทุกจังหวัดภายในเดือนพฤษภาคม 2559 พร้อมเปิดตัวศูนย์รวมความบันเทิงที่ใหญ่และครบถ้วนที่สุดกับ AIS Play ที่มาพร้อมมิติใหม่ของแพ็กเกจค่าบริการที่ให้ลูกค้าใช้งาน 4G ได้อย่างเต็มสปีด เร็ว แรง ตลอดแพ็กเกจ จากจุดเด่นที่แตกต่าง คือ
- เร็วที่สุด ด้วยเทคโนโลยี LTE Advanced ล่าสุด ที่ให้ความเร็วเต็มสปีดบนคลื่น 1800 MHz และ 2100 MHz
- แรงที่สุด พร้อมสามารถรองรับการใช้งานได้อย่างดีที่สุด ด้วยจำนวนสถานีฐานกว่า 7,000 แห่ง และโครงข่ายใยแก้วนำแสงที่ยาวกว่าหนึ่งแสนห้าหมื่นกิโลเมตร ครอบคลุมทั้งภายในและภายนอกอาคาร

นายสมชัย เลิศสุทธิวงค์ ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร บริษัท แอดวานซ์ อินโฟร์ เซอร์วิส จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ เอไอเอส กล่าวว่า “หลังจากเราได้รับใบอนุญาตใช้คลื่น 1800 MHz จากการจัดประมูลโดย กสทช. เมื่อวันพุธที่ 25 พฤศจิกายน 2558 ที่ผ่านมา เราได้เร่งดำเนินการขยายเครือข่าย พร้อมพัฒนาบริการทุกด้านอย่างรวดเร็วที่สุด ด้วยงบประมาณที่เตรียมไว้ถึง 14,520 ล้านบาท และเชิญให้เริ่มสัมผัสประสบการณ์ 4G ได้ตั้งแต่ต้นเดือนธันวาคม 2558 ที่ผ่านมา วันนี้ เราจึงเป็นรายแรก และรายเดียวที่นำคลื่นความถี่จากการประมูล ของ กสทช.ทั้ง 2 คลื่น คือ 1800 MHz และ 2100 MHz มาเริ่มให้บริการ 4G ภายใต้ชื่อ “AIS 4G ADVANCED 4G ที่เร็วที่สุด” เพื่อสร้างประโยชน์ให้แก่คนไทย และประเทศไทยอย่างรวดเร็ว ตามเจตนารมณ์ของ กสทช. และรัฐบาลที่ได้ประกาศไว้ ตั้งแต่วันนี้เป็นต้นไป เริ่มต้นใน 42 จังหวัด ทั่วทุกภาค และจะครอบคลุมทั่วประเทศภายในเดือนพฤษภาคม 2559 นี้”
“จากเป้าหมายของเราในการเป็น Digital Life Service Provider ที่มุ่งมั่นจะมอบบริการยุคดิจิทัลที่ดีที่สุดให้แก่คนไทย ทำให้ที่ผ่านมาเราได้เตรียมการเพื่อรองรับการมาถึงของ 4G อย่างครบถ้วน ดังนั้นวินาทีแรกที่ได้รับใบอนุญาตคลื่น 1800 MHz ชาวเอไอเอส กว่า 12,000 ชีวิต จึงเร่งทำงานอย่างไม่ยอมเสียเวลา เพราะตระหนักดีถึงหน้าที่ในการเร่งนำเทคโนโลยี 4G ที่เชื่อมั่นได้ในเรื่องของคุณภาพทุกด้านมาให้บริการอย่างรวดเร็วที่สุด ทั้งจากการออกแบบเครือข่ายโดยวิศวกรมืออาชีพ, ความพร้อมของงานบริการลูกค้ายุค 4G ในทุกจุด, Digital Service และ Content, การเตรียม Device ที่ตอบโจทย์ ล้วนแล้วแต่เป็นสิ่งที่สร้างความมั่นใจได้ว่า AIS 4G ADVANCED พร้อมจะเป็นโครงสร้างพื้นฐานด้านสื่อสารโทรคมนาคมสมบูรณ์แบบ ที่จะสนับสนุนและยกระดับการเติบโตทุกด้านของประเทศ ทั้งเศรษฐกิจภาพรวมจากการลงทุนต่อเนื่อง, การเปิดโอกาสใหม่ๆให้แก่ ผู้ประกอบการทุกระดับ ตั้งแต่ StartUp ไปจนถึงองค์กรรัฐและเอกชน ที่หมายรวมถึง Social Enterprise ที่จะทำให้ประเทศไทยเกิดความยั่งยืนต่อไป”
ด้าน นายปรัธนา ลีลพนัง รองกรรมการผู้อำนวยการ สายงานการตลาด เอไอเอส กล่าวว่า โดยวันนี้เป็นครั้งแรกที่เราได้เริ่มเปิดมิติใหม่ของแพ็กเกจบริการซึ่งให้ลูกค้าใช้งานที่ค่าความเร็ว 4G ได้อย่างเต็มสปีด เร็ว แรง ไม่มีสะดุด (Full 4G Speed Package) ตลอดแพ็คเกจ ที่มีให้เลือกหลากหลายรูปแบบ อาทิ เล่นเน็ตเยอะ ชื่นชอบการใช้ content, เล่นเน็ตหลายเครื่อง, แชร์ค่าโทร และเน็ตในครอบครัว โดยทุกรูปแบบมีอัตราที่สอดคล้อง เป็นไปตามข้อกำหนดของ กสทช.”

This comes with offering of full-speed packages and a wide range of 4G service centers, reemphasizing the company’s firm commitment to support growth of Digital Economy.
Advance Wireless Network Co., Ltd. or AWN a subsidiary of AIS Group announces the official launching of 4G services under the name'AIS 4G ADVANCED' with the application of LTE ADVANCED technology for the first time in Thailand with service coverage for over 42 provinces in every region nationwide. Having been awarded the license in November 2015, the company has been conducting early trials since December 2015; known as the quickest licensee to have launched 4G full services. The company target to have full coverage in every province by May 2016 altogether with the launching of ‘AIS Play’, the largest and most complete entertainment centers.AIS Play comes the new dimension of service offering to customers allowing them to enjoy full-speed 4G services with forefront distinctions to other ordinary 4G service as follows:
