ล้ำไม่หยุด! AIS โชว์ศักยภาพผู้นำตัวจริง นำหน้าผู้ให้บริการทุกรายไปอีกขั้น ศึกษาเทคโนโลยี Next G บนระบบ 5G แล้ว ให้ความเร็วมากกว่า 19 Gbps สร้างความสำเร็จหน้าใหม่ ของการวิจัยทดสอบ 5G ครั้งแรกในไทย

       ล่าสุด AIS เดินหน้าสาธิตเทคโนโลยี 5G ต่อเนื่อง ในงาน “5G The 1st Live in Thailand by AIS : Episode 2 วันที่ 19 ธันวาคม 2561 – 15 มกราคม 2562 ที่ AIS D.C. ชั้น 5 ศูนย์การค้า ดิ เอ็มโพเรียม เพื่อเปิดประสบการณ์ 5G โชว์เคสที่แตกต่าง และไม่เคยมีที่ไหนมาก่อน โดยมุ่งนำขีดความสามารถและศักยภาพของเอไอเอส มาทดลองผสมผสานเข้ากับเทคโนโลยี 5G เพื่อจะได้เห็นผลลัพธ์ในเชิงรูปธรรม และต่อยอดการประยุกต์ใช้ได้จริงในอนาคต

      ไฮไลท์เด่นที่พลาดไม่ได้ กับปรากฏการณ์ความสำเร็จหน้าใหม่ของการวิจัยและทดสอบ 5G ครั้งแรกในไทย ที่พร้อมให้คุณมาสัมผัสได้แล้ววันนี้

                1.     ร่วมทดสอบทดลองความเร็วของ 5G และเปิดแนวคิดนวัตกรรมที่เหนือชั้นยิ่งกว่าจากเอไอเอส ความเร็วสูงสุด รายแรกและรายเดียวของไทย กับความเร็วที่มากกว่า 19 Gbps ด้วยการนำเทคโนโลยีเครือข่าย NextG มาประยุกต์ใช้บนระบบ 5G สามารถทำให้เกิดความเร็วใหม่ที่เร็วแรงยิ่งกว่า Standard ของ 5G ไปอีกขั้น หรืออาจจะเรียกได้ว่าเป็น NextG+

                2.     สาธิตการนำ Cloud มาใช้งานกับ AR และ VR ในยุค 5G ผ่าน 2 เกมแอ็คชั่น ท้าดวลความมันส์ ในรูปแบบของ 5G Cloud Virtual and Augmented Reality เพื่อให้เห็นโมเดลในอนาคตของการสร้างตลาด AR และ VR จะเติบโตขึ้นอย่างก้าวกระโดด

                3.     สาธิตการใช้งาน โดรนบังคับผ่านเครือข่ายมือถือข้ามประเทศ ระหว่างไทยและจีน ด้วยโดรนตัวแรกที่ใส่ซิมการ์ด

                4.     สัมผัสกับอุปกรณ์ CPE ตัวรับสัญญาณอินเทอร์เน็ตภายในบ้าน ที่รองรับคลื่นความถี่ 5G ย่าน mmWave เชิงพาณิชย์ตัวแรกของโลก ตามมาตรฐาน 3GPP

                5.     พร้อมเผยแนวคิด 5G Internet of Things ผ่านเทคโนโลยี 5G V2X (Vehicle to Everything) การสื่อสารระหว่างยานยนต์กับสิ่งต่างๆ

     นายวสิษฐ์ วัฒนศัพท์ หัวหน้าฝ่ายงานปฏิบัติการและสนับสนุนด้านเทคนิคทั่วประเทศ เอไอเอส กล่าวว่า “ การสาธิตเทคโนโลยี 5G Episode 1 เป็นรายแรกของไทย ในช่วงที่ผ่านมา ถือว่าประสบความสำเร็จ และเป็นไปตามเป้าหมายของการศึกษา วิจัย เทคโนโลยี 5G ในมิติต่างๆ อย่างครบถ้วนและลึกซึ้ง ทั้งเรื่องความเร็ว, การตอบสนอง และการสนับสนุน IoT รวมถึง สร้างกระแสความตื่นตัวให้กับภาคธุรกิจ ภาคอุตสาหกรรม วงการการศึกษาและอีโคซิสเต็มของธุรกิจโทรคมนาคมเป็นอย่างมาก ในฐานะที่ 5G คือ โอกาสครั้งสำคัญที่จะพลิกโฉมชีวิตคนไทยและอุตสาหกรรมไปอีกขั้น โดยเราแสดงให้เห็นภาพการประยุกต์ใช้งานในหลากหลายอุตสาหกรรม ด้วยการสาธิตในสภาวะแวดล้อมเสมือนจริง ทั้งการใช้อุปกรณ์ที่มี Handset 5G ต้นแบบ รวมถึง Terminal หลายรูปแบบ ซึ่งจะทำให้ผลลัพธ์ที่ได้เกิดประโยชน์ในทางปฏิบัติมากกว่า และเห็นภาพการมอบประสบการณ์จริงไปยังผู้บริโภคได้ชัดเจนกว่า

     ดังนั้น การทดสอบ 5G Episode 2 ในครั้งนี้ จึงมีแนวคิดที่แตกต่างและ Beyond มากขึ้น โดยเราตั้งใจที่จะศึกษา นำขีดความสามารถและศักยภาพของเอไอเอสที่มีอยู่ มาทดลองผสมผสานเข้ากับเทคโนโลยี 5G เพื่อจะได้เห็นผลในเชิงรูปธรรมว่า ในวันที่ 5G มาจริงๆ เราจะสร้างสรรค์นวัตกรรมที่แตกต่างจากรายอื่น และสร้าง more value ที่จะยกระดับคุณภาพการใช้ชีวิตของคนไทย และพลิกโฉมการทำงานของภาคธุรกิจและภาคอุตสาหกรรมไปอีกขั้น และเพื่อเป็นการยืนยันว่า เอไอเอสไม่เคยหยุดที่จะพัฒนาและแสวงหานวัตกรรมใหม่ๆ มาให้คนไทยได้สัมผัสกับเทคโนโลยีที่เหนือชั้นก่อนใครในโลก เตรียมพบกับการทดสอบ 5G Episode 3 ในเร็วๆ นี้อย่างแน่นอน” นาย วสิษฐ์กล่าว

-         5G Super Speed ที่สุดของความเร็ว 5G ที่มากกว่า 19 Gbps

ร่วมทดสอบความเร็วของ 5G บนนวัตกรรมที่เหนือชั้นยิ่งกว่าจากเอไอเอส ท้าพิสูจน์ความเร็วสูงสุด รายแรกและรายเดียวของไทย กับความเร็วที่มากกว่า 19 Gbps เมื่อวันที่ 5G เข้ามาในประเทศไทยจริงๆ AIS จะสามารถเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพความเร็วของ 5G มากขึ้นไปอีก โดยการนำเทคโนโลยี Multipath TCP ที่ AIS มีอยู่เพียงรายเดียวในไทย หรือที่เรียกว่า NextG มาประยุกต์ใช้บนเครือข่าย 5G โดยสามารถที่จะรวมความเร็วของ 5G เข้ากับ AIS Super WIFI ได้ ทำให้ความเร็วของ 5G ตาม Standard เร็วเพิ่มขึ้นไปอีก โดยสามารถให้ความเร็วได้สูงสุดมากกว่า 19 Gbps หรืออาจจะเรียกได้ว่าเป็น NextG+

-         5G Connected Drone ที่สุดของเทคโนโลยีควบคุมระยะทางไกล

สาธิตการใช้งานโดรนในยุค 5G เนื่องจาก โดรนในยุคปัจจุบันมีการใช้งานผ่านคลื่นความถี่ WIFI ซึ่งมีข้อจำกัดเรื่องระยะทางในการใช้งาน สามารถควบคุมได้แค่ระยะทางใกล้ๆ ไม่เกินกว่าระยะสายตา และข้อจำกัดในเรื่องสัญญาณรบกวน เนื่องจากการใช้ความถี่ที่เป็น Unlicensed Band แต่พอมาในยุค 5G ที่ความเร็วสูงและความหน่วงต่ำ จึงสามารถนำโดรนมาประยุกต์ใช้งานได้หลากหลาย เช่น การขนส่ง, การเกษตร, ความปลอดภัยสาธารณะ, การกู้ภัย, การตรวจดูงานในโรงงานหรือพื้นที่เสี่ยง เป็นต้น เพราะว่า สามารถควบคุมโดรนระยะทางไกลได้ผ่านเครือข่ายมือถือ ซึ่งคนควบคุมไม่จำเป็นต้องอยู่ที่เดียวกับโดรน และสามารถ streaming video ที่มีความละเอียดสูงกลับมาหาผู้ใช้งานได้ทันที โดยจะมีการสาธิต การทดสอบการควบคุมสั่งการโดรนแบบข้ามประเทศระหว่างประเทศไทย และจีน ให้ชมเป็นครั้งแรกอีกด้วย

-         5G Cloud Virtual and Augmented Reality ที่สุดของความบันเทิงเหนือจินตนาการ

พบกับการนำ Cloud มาใช้งานกับ AR และ VR ในยุค 5G ว่าจะมีประสิทธิภาพในการตอบสนองที่รวดเร็ว ใช้งานได้ทุกที่ ทุกเวลา เนื่องจากการประมวลผลถูกใช้งานผ่าน Cloud โดยเรื่องนี้ อาจจะถูกไปประยุกต์ใช้กับ การเล่นเกม, ซื้อของ online, การศึกษา, การอบรม เป็นต้น โดยในงานเราจำลองออกมา 2 รูปแบบดังนี้

·       Mix Reality World เป็นเกมยิงปืน ระหว่างผู้เล่น 2 คน โดยแต่ละคนสามารถเล่นอยู่คนละที่ แต่ผู้เล่นได้ประสบการณ์เสมือนจริงเหมือนอยู่ด้วยกัน เนื่องจากอุปกรณ์ของผู้เล่นสามารถรับส่งข้อมูลการเคลื่อนไหวของผู้เล่นอีกฝ่ายแบบเรียลไทม์ ไปประมวลผลที่ Cloud ผ่านเครือข่าย 5G

·       Smart Gloves เป็นเกมที่ผู้เล่นสร้างลูกบอลไฟและยิงลูกไฟผ่านเครือข่าย 4G เปรียบเทียบกับ 5G เพื่อแสดงการตอบสนองบน 5G ที่เร็วกว่า

-         5G Wireless to the home ที่สุดของความแรงบรอดแบนด์ไร้สาย

     แสดงศักยภาพของเทคโนโลยีบรอดแบนด์ไร้สายผ่านเครือข่าย 5G (5G WTTx) ช่วยเสริมบริการ Fibre broadband ให้ครอบคลุมมากขึ้น ที่จะเป็นประโยชน์อย่างยิ่งในพื้นที่ห่างไกล หรือ พื้นที่ที่เข้าถึงยาก เช่น เกาะ, ภูเขา, ชนบท เป็นต้น ที่มีข้อจำกัดในการเดินสาย โดยอุปกรณ์ที่จัดแสดงในงานนี้ เป็น CPE หรืออุปกรณ์รับสัญญาณอินเทอร์เน็ตภายในบ้านที่รองรับคลื่นความถี่ 5G ย่าน mmWave เชิงพาณิชย์ตัวแรกของโลก ตามมาตรฐาน 3GPP ซึ่งสเปคสามารถทำความเร็วได้สูงสุดถึง 2 Gbps

     โชว์แนวคิด 5G Internet of Things ผ่านเทคโนโลยี 5G V2X (Vehicle to Everything) เป็นเทคโนโลยีการสื่อสาร ระหว่างยานยนต์กับสิ่งต่างๆ โดยพื้นฐาน จะช่วยเรื่องความปลอดภัยในการคมนาคม, เพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการจราจร และประหยัดพลังงาน โดยการสื่อสารผ่านเครือข่าย 5G จะช่วยเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพในการสื่อสารและตอบสนองได้อย่างรวดเร็ว ไม่ว่าจะเป็นยานยนต์กับยานยนต์, ยานยนต์กับคนที่เดินบนท้องถนนผ่านอุปกรณ์อิเล็ทรอนิกส์, ยานยนต์กับโครงสร้างถนนหนทาง เช่น ไฟจราจร เป็นต้น และยานยนต์กับเครือข่ายการประมวลผลบน cloud ซึ่ง 5G V2X ยังถูกนำไปประยุกต์ใช้กับรถยนต์ไร้คนขับที่จะเกิดขึ้นในอนาคตอีกด้วย

AIS overtakes rivals to underline its leadership Studies NEXT G technology on 5G system with speed of over 19 Gbps Enjoys success in the first 5G trial in Thailand

(20 December 2018) AIS is reaffirming its leadership in Thailand’s mobile network sector and is once again underlining its strong determination to continuously develop and create technological innovations for Thais. Its success in testing 5G technology on 22 November 2018 has firmly placed AIS as the leader in international-standard network technologies and wrote a new chapter in the history of the Thai telecommunication industry.

Now AIS is moving forward to demonstrate 5G technology in the “5G The 1st Live in Thailand by AIS: Episode 2”, being held from 19 December 2018 to 15 January 2019 at AIS D.C., on the 5th floor of The Emporium. Combining AIS’s capability with 5G technology to achieve substantial results and practical applications for the future, the 5G showcase offers Thais unparalleled and unique experiences. This new chapter of success following on from the first 5G research and trial in Thailand features five not-to-be-missed highlights

1. Test the impressive 5G speed using AIS superior innovations. AIS is the first and only operator to studies the highest speed, which is over 19 Gbps. AIS uses the NEXT G network technology to apply the speed of the 5G standard system and calls it NEXT G+.
2. Demonstration of how the Cloud merges with AR and VR in the 5G era via 2 action games in the form of 5G Cloud Virtual and Augmented Reality. This will allow the public to perceive future models for AR and VR marketing, which is slated to grow dramatically.
3. Demonstration of the first drone with an embedded sim card that will be controlled via international mobile networks between Thailand and China.

Wasit Wattanasap, AIS's head of nationwide operations and the support department, says the first episode of the 5G Episode 1 demonstration was very successful. “AIS achieved its goal of comprehensive study and research on 5G technology in all dimensions including speed, responsiveness and IoT support. In addition, the 5G testing significantly created awareness of its application in the business, industry and educational sectors as well as the telecom ecosystem. As 5G is a great opportunity to transform lives and industries, AIS demonstrated the application of 5G to various industries in the virtual reality environment through the use of 5G handset models and terminals. As a result, the testing offered consumers a real experience with more substance and greater clarity of the practical benefits.

“The concept of 5G Episode 2 is different and goes far beyond the first event. We’re studying the combination of AIS capability and 5G technology with the aim to achieve concrete results from which we will create different innovations when 5G arrives. -          5G Super Speed, the fastest speed of 5G with over 19 Gbps

Test the superior speed of 5G by AIS. The leading mobile operator in Thailand is challenging Thais to test the speed of over 19 Gbps. When 5G arrives, AIS will be able to enhance efficiency and take the speed up to the next level. AIS is the only operator to apply Multipath TCP or the so-called NEXT G on the 5G network. Thanks to the combination of 5G speed and AIS Super WiFi, AIS can deliver the maximum speed of over 19 Gbps, higher than 5G standard, or NEXT G+.

-          5G Connected Drone with the best remote control technology

The event will demonstrate the deployment of drones in the 5G era. At present, drones are used via WiFi, which poses limitation on use because of the need to control the drone over a short distance and within a visible area. In addition, there is interference in the signal due to the use of unlicensed bands. The 5G technology provides higher speeds and low latency, so it can control drones at more remote distances via a mobile network. A controller need no longer stay in the same area of the drone as it can instantly deliver streaming video with high resolution to the controller. This marks the first ever demonstration, testing and control of droned via mobile networks between Thailand and China.

-          5G Cloud Virtual and Augmented Reality, the ultimate entertainment beyond imagination

Explore how the Cloud AR/VR in the 5G era can deliver fast responsiveness. It can be used anywhere and at anytime because of the data processing via Cloud computing. In the future, the Cloud AR/VR technology might be applied for various uses including game playing, online shopping, education and training. The event showcases the following 2 models:

1. Mix Reality World: A shooter game for two players. Although they are in different places, they enjoy the shooting experience just as if they were in the same place because the gaming devices can send/deliver data in real time to be processed via the Cloud platform on the 5G network.
2. Smart Golves: A game to create a fireball and shoot it via 4G compared to 5G in order to show the faster responsiveness of 5G.

-          5G Wireless for the home, the strongest wireless broadband technology

The event will demonstrate the capability of wireless broadband technology through 5G network (5G WTTx), which extends fiber broadband coverage. This will particularly be advantageous for remote areas and those with difficult accessibility including islands, mountains and rural areas where there are limitations on the provision of transmission lines. The event introduces CPE, the home internet receiver that supports 5G frequencies in the mmWave band, the world's first commercial spectrum based on 3GPP standard. This spec can deliver a maximum speed of 2Gbps.

-          5G Internet of Things, the ultimate bandwidth speeds to boost IoT connecting devices tenfold

This will introduce the idea of 5G Internet of Things through 5G V2X (Vehicle to Everything). This is a communications technology between vehicles and things which basically enhances transportation safety, traffic efficiency and energy savings. Based on Cloud processing, the 5G IoT network will increase communication efficiency with fast responsiveness between vehicle and vehicle, between vehicle and pedestrian via electronic devices, and between vehicle and road infrastructure such as traffic lights. Moreover, the 5G V2X can also be applied for self-driving cars.
