ทรูมูฟ เอช ยูนิเวอร์แซล คอมมิวนิเคชั่น (TUC) จัดพิธีลงนามกับ 6 สถาบันการเงิน ได้แก่ ธนาคารไอซีบีซี (ไทย) ธนาคารกรุงเทพ ธนาคารกสิกรไทย ธนาคาร ไทยพาณิชย์ ธนาคารกรุงไทย และธนาคารเกียรตินาคิน เพื่อออกหนังสือค้ำประกันวงเงินถึง 73,036.06 ล้านบาท โดยธนาคารไอซีบีซี (ไทย) เป็นผู้สนับสนุนวงเงินหนังสือค้ำประกันสูงสุดถึงเกือบ 50 เปอร์เซ็นต์ของมูลค่าวงเงินทั้งหมด เพื่อนำไปยื่นพร้อมการชำระค่าใบอนุญาตคลื่นความถี่ 900 MHz งวดแรกเป็นเงิน 8,040 ล้านบาท ที่ TUC ชนะการประมูลเมื่อเดือนธันวาคมปีที่ผ่านมาให้กับทางสำนักงานคณะกรรมการกิจการกระจายเสียง กิจการโทรทัศน์ และกิจการโทรคมนาคมแห่งชาติ
นายศุภชัย เจียรวนนท์ กรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่และประธานคณะผู้บริหาร บมจ. ทรู คอร์ปอเรชั่น กล่าวว่า "ในนามของกลุ่มทรู ผมขอขอบคุณสถาบันการเงินทั้ง 6 แห่งที่ไว้วางใจในกลุ่มทรู ทั้งธนาคารระดับโลกอย่างธนาคารไอซีบีซี (ไทย) ธนาคารกรุงเทพ ธนาคารกสิกรไทย ธนาคารไทยพาณิชย์ ธนาคารกรุงไทย และธนาคารเกียรตินาคิน ที่ให้การสนับสนุนทางการเงินร่วมออกหนังสือค้ำประกัน ให้กลุ่มทรูได้เป็นเจ้าของคลื่นความถี่ 900 MHz ที่เพิ่งชนะการประมูลมาได้อย่างสมบูรณ์แบบ ซึ่งกลุ่มทรูจะเดินหน้านำคลื่นดังกล่าวมาใช้ได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพสูงสุด เพื่อตอบสนองความต้องการของตลาด และสร้างโครงสร้างพื้นฐานให้ 4G ของประเทศไทยเป็น 4G ที่มีคุณภาพได้มาตรฐานระดับโลก สานต่อความมุ่งมั่นของกลุ่มทรูที่จะสร้างโครงข่ายที่ดีที่สุดอย่างต่อเนื่อง ซึ่งการได้คลื่น 900 MHz และ 1800 MHz เพิ่มเติมครั้งนี้ ทำให้กลุ่มทรูเป็นผู้ประกอบการรายเดียวในประเทศที่มีคลื่นความถี่มากที่สุดทั้งคลื่น 900 1800 2100 และ 850 MHz (ภายใต้ กสท.) สามารถให้บริการได้ครบทุกมิติ ผ่านเครือข่าย 4G 3G และ 2G จึงนับเป็นอีกก้าวสำคัญของกลุ่มทรู ที่จะคงความเป็นผู้นำอินเทอร์เน็ตบรอดแบนด์ไร้สาย เสริมความแข็งแกร่งให้กับการดำเนินธุรกิจ ต่อยอดการเติบโตที่โดดเด่นของธุรกิจทรูโมบายล์ในปีที่ผ่านมาได้ชัดเจนยิ่งขึ้น"

ในฐานะผู้จัดการวงเงินหนังสือค้ำประกันร่วมที่สนับสนุนวงเงินหนังสือค้ำประกันสูงสุดถึงเกือบ 50 เปอร์เซ็นต์ของมูลค่าวงเงินทั้งหมด ธนาคารไอซีบีซี (ไทย) มีความยินดีที่ได้ร่วมกับธนาคารพาณิชย์ทั้งห้าของไทย ได้แก่ ธนาคารกรุงเทพ ธนาคารกสิกรไทย ธนาคารไทยพาณิชย์ ธนาคารกรุงไทย และธนาคารเกียรตินาคิน ในการผนึกความร่วมมือออกหนังสือค้ำประกันวงเงินให้กับกลุ่มทรู ซึ่งการสนับสนุนจากธนาคารไอซีบีซี (ไทย) และความร่วมมือของธนาคารพันธมิตรทั้งห้าในครั้งนี้ จะมีส่วนสำคัญในการยกระดับโครงสร้างพื้นฐานด้านโทรคมนาคมของไทยให้เทียบเท่ากับมาตรฐานสากล”
นายชาญศักดิ์ เฟื่องฟู กรรมการรองผู้จัดการใหญ่ ธนาคารกรุงเทพ จำกัด (มหาชน) กล่าวว่า "ธนาคารกรุงเทพ มีความยินดีและรู้สึกเป็นเกียรติอย่างยิ่งที่ได้มีส่วนร่วมให้การสนับสนุนหนังสือค้ำประกันสำหรับใบอนุญาตคลื่น 900 MHz แก่บริษัท ทรู มูฟ เอช ยูนิเวอร์แซล คอมมิวนิเคชั่น จำกัด ในครั้งนี้ และมีความเชื่อมั่นเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่าทางบริษัทฯ จะประสบความสำเร็จในการขยายธุรกิจบริการโทรศัพท์เคลื่อนที่ และเจริญเติบโตอย่างต่อเนื่องตามเป้าหมายที่ได้กำหนดไว้"
นายธีรนันท์ ศรีหงส์ กรรมการผู้จัดการ ธนาคารกสิกรไทย เปิดเผยว่า “ธนาคารกสิกรไทยขอแสดงความยินดีกับกลุ่มทรูที่ได้รับใบอนุญาตการประมูลคลื่น 4G ความถี่ 900 MHz ในครั้งนี้ ซึ่งนับเป็นอีกก้าวที่สำคัญของกลุ่มทรูและอุตสาหกรรมโทรคมนาคมของไทย เนื่องจากจะช่วยให้เกิดการพัฒนาและกระตุ้นให้เกิดการเติบโตของธุรกิจโทรคมนาคมและธุรกิจต่อเนื่องต่างๆ ในยุค Internet of Things เช่น ธุรกิจคอนเทนต์ แอพพลิเคชั่น ธุรกิจอุปกรณ์มือถือและอุปกรณ์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ ซึ่งกลุ่มทรูถือเป็นกลไกหลักสำคัญที่เชื่อมโยงให้เกิดการลงทุนและพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมอย่างกว้างขวาง รวมทั้งสนับสนุนการเติบโตอย่างก้าวกระโดดให้กับวงจรธุรกิจ หรือ แวลู เชน (Value Chain) ในอุตสาหกรรม ซึ่งเป็นการเชื่อมโยงการค้าการลงทุนระหว่างกันในกลุ่มซัพพลายเออร์อุปกรณ์โดยเฉพาะจากประเทศจีน ผู้ประกอบการขนาดกลางและย่อม รวมถึงผู้ให้บริการเครือข่ายโทรศัพท์มือถือ อันจะนำไปสู่การขยายตัวทางเศรษฐกิจและสร้างมูลค่าเพิ่มให้กับประเทศในอนาคต ธนาคารกสิกรไทยถือเป็นธนาคารที่ดำเนินงานภายใต้แนวทางดิจิตอลแบงกิ้งและเป็นหนึ่งในธนาคารพันธมิตรของกลุ่มทรูจึงพร้อมผลักดันและให้การสนับสนุนธุรกิจของกลุ่มทรูอย่างต่อเนื่อง
นายอาทิตย์ นันทวิทยา ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารและรองประธานกรรมการบริหาร ธนาคารไทยพาณิชย์ จำกัด (มหาชน) กล่าวว่า “การที่ บมจ. ทรู คอร์ปอเรชั่น ชนะการประมูลครั้งนี้ทำให้เป็นโอเปอร์เรเตอร์รายเดียวที่มีคลื่นความถี่มากที่สุด ถือเป็นประวัติศาสตร์ที่สำคัญครั้งหนึ่งของการดำเนินธุรกิจของภาคเอกชนไทย โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในภาคโทรคมนาคมของประเทศ เพราะแสดงให้เห็นถึงความมุ่งมั่นและเจตนารมย์ที่ดีในการประกอบธุรกิจตามยุทธศาสตร์ที่วางไว้ ธนาคารไทยพาณิชย์มีความยินดีกับความสำเร็จของกลุ่ม บมจ. ทรู คอร์ปอเรชั่น ที่นับจากนี้ไปจะเป็นโอเปอร์เรเตอร์ที่มีศักยภาพสูงสุดในการให้บริการธุรกิจไร้สาย ซึ่งนอกจากจะมอบบริการด้วยเทคโนโลยีที่ทันสมัยแก่ลูกค้าของทรูแล้ว ยังเป็นการสนับสนุนนโยบายเศรษฐกิจและสังคมดิจิตอล (Digital Economy) ของภาครัฐอย่างรวดเร็วและเป็นรูปธรรมอย่างชัดเจน”
นายกิตติพันธ์ อนุตรโสตถิ รองกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ ธุรกิจขนาดใหญ่ ธนาคารกรุงไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) กล่าวว่า "ธนาคารยินดีอย่างมากที่เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของความสำเร็จครั้งสำคัญของกลุ่มทรู ซึ่งตลอดระยะเวลา 20 ปีที่ผ่านมา ธนาคารได้ร่วมสนับสนุนทางการเงินใน deals สำคัญๆ ตั้งแต่กลุ่มทรูเริ่มต้นธุรกิจ Fixed Line จนกระทั่งเข้าสู่ยุคดิจิตอล สำหรับการชนะการประมูล 2 คลื่นความถี่ล่าสุดทั้ง 1800 MHz และ 900 MHz จะทำให้กลุ่มทรูเป็นผู้นำการเปลี่ยนผ่านเข้าสู่เทคโนโลยี 4G ได้อย่างสมบูรณ์แบบ โดยมีคลื่นที่หลากหลายทั้ง 850 MHz 900 MHz 1800 MHz และ 2100 MHz และมีแบนด์วิธที่มากที่สุดถึง 55 MHz นอกจากนี้ การลงทุนในครั้งนี้ ยังเป็นการสร้างความแข็งแกร่งด้านโครงสร้างพื้นฐานโทรคมนาคมให้แก่ประเทศด้วย"
นายนรเชษฐ์ แสงรุจิ ประธานสายสินเชื่อบรรษัท ธนาคารเกียรตินาคิน จำกัด (มหาชน) บริษัทในกลุ่มธุรกิจการเงินเกียรตินาคินภัทร กล่าวว่า “ในประเทศไทย อุตสาหกรรมโทรศัพท์เคลื่อนที่เป็นธุรกิจที่มีแนวโน้มที่ดี มีการเจริญเติบโตต่อเนื่อง ทั้งในด้านจำนวนผู้ใช้บริการ ปริมาณการใช้งาน รวมถึงจำนวนค่าบริการต่อเลขหมาย และนับเป็นภาคส่วนที่สำคัญในการพัฒนาประเทศ ตามนโยบายของภาครัฐด้านดิจิตอลอีโคโนมี บรอดแบนด์แห่งชาติ ดาต้าเซ็นเตอร์แห่งชาติ และ National E-payment ในนามของธนาคารเกียรตินาคิน ผมรู้สึกยินดี และเป็นเกียรติอย่างยิ่ง ที่ธนาคารได้มีโอกาสเข้าร่วมเป็นส่วนหนึ่ง ในดีลประวัติศาสตร์ของประเทศครั้งนี้ ซึ่งกลุ่มทรู เป็นหนึ่งในผู้ให้บริการโทรคมนาคมหลักของประเทศ มีเทคโนโลยีโครงข่ายสื่อสารที่หลากหลาย นอกจากนี้ ธนาคารยังเห็นถึงความมุ่งมั่นในการขยายโครงข่ายเพื่อการให้บริการ และการทุ่มเทอย่างหนักของทรู ในการประมูลคลื่นถี่ที่ผ่านมา และขอให้การดำเนินธุรกิจต่อจากนี้ของทรูประสบความสำเร็จตามแผนงานที่วางไว้”

TRUEMOVE H IS TRUSTED BY 6 FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS, COLLABORATING TO ISSUE LETTERS OF GUARANTEE FOR 900 MHZ LICENSE, WORTH THB 73,036.06 MILLION
True Move H Universal Communication (TUC) today holds an agreement signing ceremony with 6 financial institutions, comprising the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Thai) Plc – ICBC (Thai), Bangkok Bank Plc, Kasikornbank Plc, Siam Commercial Bank Plc, Krung Thai Bank Plc and Kiatnakin Bank Plc to secure letters of guarantee, worth a total of Baht 73,036.06 million, while nearly 50% of the amount of these letters of guarantee was provided by ICBC (Thai). The letters will be submitted with TUC’s first payment of Baht 8,040 million to the National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission (NBTC) for the 900-MHz frequency it won from the auction in December last year.

As the demand for mobile broadband in Thailand is expected to grow exponentially in the near future, we are confident that the acquired 900 MHz spectrum will help stabilize True’s revenue base and business fundamentals in the long run.
As a lead arranger, providing nearly 50% of the total amount of the letters of guarantee for this transaction, ICBC (Thai) is ready to provide support to True Group, and is pleased to have five other commercial banks, comprising of Bangkok Bank Plc, Kasikornbank Plc, Siam Commercial Bank Plc, Krung Thai Bank Plc and Kiatnakin Bank Plc, as our allied partners for the syndication. The support from ICBC (Thai) and all participating banks will be a significant part in elevating Thailand’s telecommunications infrastructure to world-class standards.”
Mr. Chansak Fuangfu, Bangkok Bank’s Executive Director and Senior Executive Vice President, said “Bangkok Bank is pleased and honored to take part in supporting True Move H Universal Communication by issuing the letter of guarantee on the payment for the 900 MHz license. We believe that the company will be able to achieve further success in expanding its mobile business and grow continually as per its set targets.”
